Is there a way to change this server side instead of client side…so that the end user doesn’t have to make this change? We’re looking at 6,000 clients whose C:\My Documents is now a server based home directory…..

What version of Office are you using? Are you working with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 or Windows SharePoint Services 3.0?

When you say on the server directly, do you know where on the server? I performed some maintenance on my SharePoint server and documents that have never been checked in are now missing and I want to find them.

As far as I know, Office 2003 doesn’t use a SharePoint Draft folder so Office 2003 applications will save the files directly on the server.
